SECURITY AND TRACKING SYSTEMS.
i) Physical access control systems include:
• Lock and key.
• Access card and reader.
• Electrical Fencing
• Lighting.
• Door way and Man-trap.

ii) Alarm systems and Intruder System:
• Local system, which only rings locally.
• Central station system – Alarms (and CCTV) which are monitored by a central station.
• Proprietary system, which are similar to a central station system except that the monitoring facilities are owned and operated by the customer.
• Auxiliary system with alarm system rings local fire station and/or police station.
• Intruder system for motion detector

iii) Technical access monitoring controls include:
• Dry contact switch uses metallic foil tape as a contact detector to detect whether a door or window is opened.
• Electro-mechanical detection system that detects a change or break in a circuit.
• Vibration detection system that detects movement on walls, ceiling, floors, etc.
• Pressure mat which detects whether there is someone stepping on the mat.
• Visual recording device, e.g. camera and Closed Circuit TV (CCTV), which records the activities taking place in a particular area.
• Photoelectric or photometric detection system emits a beam of light and monitors the beam to detect for motion and break-in.
• Wave pattern motion detector which generates microwave or ultrasonic waveband monitors the emitted wave to detect for motion.
• Passive infrared detection system which detects for changes of heat wave generated by an intruder.
• Audio Acoustical-seismic detection system that is capable of listening for changes in noise level.

iv) Fire Combustion Elements
• Fuel, e.g. Wood, paper, wiring, etc. (can be suppressed by, water, CO2 or Soda acid, orhalon for chemical fire).

v) Fire detectors:
• Heat detector, which is based on a temperature threshold or the rising rate of temperature.
• Flame detector, which detects infra-red energy or pulse off lame
• Smoke or B Combustion particle detector, which emits a light beam and uses a photoelectric device to detect if the beam is obstructed.

vi) Fire Suppression
• A portable fire extinguisher
• A gas discharge system which uses pressurized gas,e.g.CO2 or Halon
• A water sprinkler system
• Dry pipe system
• Pre-action system
• Deluge system

vii) Perimeter intrusion and detection assessment system (PIDAS), which is a fencing system with mesh wire and passive cable vibration sensors that can detect fan intruder is approaching and damaging the fence.
viii)Visitor access to restricted areas requires special security control such as visitor registration and escort.
